For another
year, the light of the 7th art travelled from France to Greece and
filled the cinematic theaters with its sparkle for nine days, during the 23d
Francophone Film Festival held from 21 to 29 of March 2023.
Zolotas house of jewelry, a long-lasting patron and ally of cultural events in Greece, has been once again on the side of the Festival by creating two awards: The Prize of Public and the Prize of Jury. The design of the sculptures was inspired by “Glafka”, the wise owl of the goddess Athena, crafted in bronze and adorned with the characteristic “solar” gold of Zolotas.
The award
ceremony took place on the 29th of March at Danao’s cinema hall, where
spectators had the chance to view a special screening: the worldwide
avant-premiere of the film “«Les Trois Mousquetaires: D’ Artagnan» (The Three
Musqueteers- D’Artagnan) directed by Martin Bourboulon.
Big winners
of the evening were the films “Saint Omer” by Alice Diop which received the Prize
of Jury and “La Syndicaliste” by Jean-Paul Salomé with the Prize of Public.
The Glafkes of Zolotas, travel around the world, spreading the cinematic magic and transmitting the importance of our cultural values.
